idc what happens in canon, as far as I’m concerned, there was just enough energy in the teleporter thingy for one more trip, Megatron takes it and proceeds to give Rodimus and Minimus a ten minutes long crushing hug because he was so terrified of losing them
look at that little green bean… trying to pretend he’s not at all insulted…
