For anyone who wants a simple proof that Palestine existed before 1948, here’s a coin from 1927 worth 10 Mils (this currency is no longer used). Also note that the word “Palestine” is written in both Arabic and Hebrew indicating not only a Jewish presence, but a prominent one. Jews and Arabs DID live side by side in peace. The Zionist idea that they cannot coexist is an absolute fallacy.

And oh, what a surprise, OP ignored the fact that there’s also a (א”י) on these coins. That stands for “Eretz Yisrael”, or “Land of Israel”, for those unaware. Sure is an odd thing for the totally legit and sovereign Palestinian state to have on its coins, wouldn’t you say?  

These coins are from the British Mandate.

They don’t change the fact that “Palestine” is a Roman colonial oppressor term given to the area with the specific intention of severing Jewish connection to the land formerly known as Judea.  Or, that it was later taken up by yet another colonial power, the British.  “Palestine” has never been used by a sovereign nation. 

And as for Arabs and Jews existing in peace before modern Israel?

What do you call the Hebron Massacre in1929? Does destroying Jewish homes and synagogues, while chanting “Kill the Jews” scream peace to you?  Does 67 Jews killed by Arabs look peaceful?

What do you call Arab rioting in the late 1920s that left, 135 Jew dead and more than 300 wounded.  

What about the 1936 riots against Jews that left 80 dead as a direct result of terror attacks or the 415 who were murdered in the following three year period.

What do you call the Grand Mufti’s and other Arab leader’s aid of the Nazis?

And through all this the area was under British control.  Often, when the riots had subsided, it was the Jews who were forced out of the areas the had lived for centuries to appease the very people who had just tried to kill them.

Here’s the debunking of a similar claim in relation to “Palestine” on stamps.  The name “Palestinians” wanted was not Palestine, but “Suria El Jenobia” or “Southern Syria”
