does anybody else find it hilarious that they thought it was Tailgate? they were really surprised it was cyclonus… does this mean Cyclonus’s singing voice is high pitched? does Tailgate have a deep voice?

there is something i was always curious about about Transformer:animated

in the first episode, we see Optimus Prime watching a video about the war between the autobots and the decepticons that looks clearly like edited footage from the G1 cartoon, and we learn that he war ended eons ago and the Autobots won etc… but since the “history” is from the G1 cartoon, does this make TFA the sequel? if so, could it be that Optimus and the rest of the gang from TFA are named after the great heroes of the war?

maybe Megatron refuses to remember tfa!optimus’s name because he refuse to call this bot the same name of his long lost rival? does this make any sense or is it just me?
